OUR PASTOR
Dr. Joe R. Williams, Sr. is the founder and Senior Pastor of the True Love Apostolic Faith Church in Lawton , Oklahoma . Dr. Williams believes in ministering to the needs of the whole man.
As a means of doing so, Dr. has implemented such social outreach programs as the Harvest Time Feeding Program, and the Annual Church/Neighborhood Block Party Barbeque and Outreach. Dr. Williams has endeavored to use his life and resources as a tool in ministering to people of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. Vocationally,
Dr. Williams has accomplished numerous feats. He received his Doctorate degree in Ministry(DMN) from the American Christian Seminary. The endowment of such degree led Dr. Williams to author several highly touted religious books: (1) The Impact of the Holy Spirit on Mortal man; (2) The Holy Ghost is Your One-Way Ticket to Heaven; (3) Just Be Happy and Enjoy Life; (4) Understand God's Pastors.
Further, he has served as a member of the United States Army, as a school counselor for the Lawton Public School system, as a chaplain for the Comanche County Memorial Hospital and its subsidiaries, and as the President of the True Love Bible Institute(an extension of the Aenon Bible College , Indianapolis , Indiana ). In recognition of Dr. Williams’ personal, religious and community achievements, the city of Lawton/Ft. Sill , Oklahoma has recently dedicated multiple city street blocks as “ Dr. Joe R. Williams, Sr. Ave. ”.
However, with all of these accomplishments, Dr. Williams has remained a devoted husband and father. For 40 years, Dr. Williams has been wedded to Evangelist Treddie J. Williams. Together they have six children, and many grandchildren. Also, Dr. Williams has fathered numerous individuals in the Gospel. In correspondence to his life’s credence, Dr. Williams has reached countless lives through his tireless efforts to exhibit a lifestyle of love for his fellow man.
OUR CHURCH
The True Love Church is located in the heart of the Lawton, Oklahoma/Ft. Sill Community. We are a multicultural church that seeks to introduce the world to Jesus Christ. It has been our goal since day one to reach the lost through LOVE.
Being situated in a military community, TLC has assisted multitude of individuals with acclimating to being stationed at Fort Sill. We strive to be a resource towards connecting people to people and connecting people to God.
True Love Church has been a staple in the community for over 2 decades. The name alone expresses the churches heart to be utilized as the instruments of God to help and heal a broken world.
Our service styles range from high energy exuberant praise and worship to thought-provoking messages that not only penetrate the mind but transform the heart by the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
